Copy Writer

Qualifications/Skills :

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
• Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with social media and content marketing
• Experience with SEO copywriting best practices. Familiarity with keyword research.
• Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
• Strong research skills
• Creativity and Collaborative spirit
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts.
• Research and understand a client’s needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and in-person meetings
• Write high-engagement social media content that reflects our brand’s voice.
• Write clear and attractive marketing copy with a distinct voice to promote our products/services
• Prepare well-structured drafts for scripts
• Proofread and edit blog posts before publication.
• Submit work to editors for input and approval
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Update website content as needed
• Source images and other content.
• Collaborate with a team of account managers and creative team, from concept development to delivery of final product.
• Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to clients.
• Working on multiple projects at a time while maintaining quality and sticking to deadlines.
